What are the symptoms of Rosacea?
Rosacea is a common skin condition that predominantly affects the facial area. It is more commonly found in people with fairer skin, as opposed to darker complexions, however can affect all skin types. People can begin to see symptoms of the condition as early as their 20’s, however in the majority of cases it begins to appear anywhere between 30 and 60 years old.
One initial sign of Rosacea is a blushing effect of the face, or a static redness that covers the cheeks, nose, forehead and chin. The other main symptom is a burning feeling when using water or other skincare products. Other symptoms include dry skin, swelling around the eyes, thickened skin and sore eyelids.
The cause of Rosacea is somewhat unknown but we do know what can trigger the condition. Rosacea can be brought on by things like spicy food, alcohol, caffeine, and in some cases aerobic exercise like running.
Treating Rosacea with IPL laser treatment
Suitable for a wide variety of conditions and skin imperfections, IPL laser treatment is the solution to regaining rejuvenated, younger-looking skin. Treatable areas include pigmentation, damaged capillaries, aged skin, sun damage and general appearance of your skin. This is a gentle treatment that removes these imperfections and stimulates collagen to regrow new fresh skin cells in their place.
The IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology allows light to penetrate the skin tissue and use heat to control the imperfections and target them directly. Over time the body’s natural collagen production process will replace the imperfections with freshly rejuvenated cells.
Unlike traditional methods, there is no downtime for this treatment. You can have your Rosacea treated and continue with your day.
IPL Laser Treatment for Rosacea
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment, also known as Photofacial, is an effective, non-surgical alternative to improve the colour and texture of your skin. Reverse visible sun damage and remove blemishes from your skin with minimal downtime.
