Dermal Fillers Newmarket

Restore and enhance your natural features with premium Dermal Fillers by cosmetic specialists.

What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are a flexible form of non-surgical aesthetic treatment, and can be used to enhance facial volume. Treatment can be performed on the lips, cheeks, jawline, chin or under eyes. This popular facial rejuvenation treatment is a cost-effective way to look younger without surgery and minimal downtime.

The fillers are a soft, gel-like substance that can be injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume. They’re made of hyaluronic acid, a natural chemical found in the body that helps to smooth lines and enhance facial contours. Whilst there are many dermal fillers available on the market today, LB Medical only uses premium, FDA approved fillers, sourced from regulated UK pharmacies.

What to expect during your Dermal Filler treatment.

If required, we will numb the area with topical anaesthetic and give this time to take effect. The area will be cleaned thoroughly prior to treatment.

We ask that you attend your appointment with no makeup to ensure optimum hygiene standards throughout. Our expert medical practitioner will then administer the filler to the treatment areas that have been decided upon following your consultation.

The way in which filler is administered will depend upon the area being treated. Rest assured that our medical director Lucinda is an expert at both methods of administering dermal fillers.

Dermal Filler FAQ’s

As soon as you begin to notice lines and wrinkles forming, they can be treated with Dermal Fillers. There is no set age to start having Dermal Fillers treatment, as each individual patient’s needs are different. Many patients chose to have Dermal Filler treatment as a preventative measure. This stops lines and wrinkles becoming deeper and more obvious.

Our practitioners are able to improve existing lines and wrinkles, no matter how long they have been there, and your expectations of treatment will be discussed with you at your initial consultation. If you would like to appear refreshed and rejuvenated, anti wrinkle treatment could be right for you.

The common applications for Dermal Fillers are:

  • Lips
  • Cheeks
  • Jawline and chin
  • Temples
  • Tear Troughs
  • Neck
  • Hands
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Marionette lines

We can replace or restore lost facial volume due to the natural ageing process or weight loss. We can also contour, define and beautify the face with dermal fillers.

Many patients tell us they look tired, aged, sad or angry. Dermal fillers can be used to treat sunken temples, hollow cheeks, and sagging jawlines.

Bruising, swelling and tenderness are common side effects after dermal fillers. These can take a few days to settle. Bruising can be covered with make up the following day. Infection is always a possibility whenever we break the skin; we will give you aftercare advice to follow to reduce this risk. A very rare complication of dermal filler is vascular occlusion.

The volumising effect of dermal fillers smooths and softens lines. Botox injections reduce muscle movement which lessens the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Results can be seen immediately after treatment. Dermal filler needs to be given time to settle and integrate into the tissues and optimum results can be seen a few weeks after treatment after this process is complete.

Each treatment is tailored to the individual. An older patient will require more filler due to the natural ageing process, and a staged approach may be suggested in order to achieve your goal. A personalised treatment plan will be created for you at your initial consultation.

At LB Medical, we pride ourselves on natural results. Good work is undetectable. Our aim is to restore and enhance your natural beauty, not turn you into someone you are not.

Longevity of dermal fillers vary depending on the area treated and the individual. Results can last between 6-24 months and are dependent on other factors such as sun exposure, genetics and lifestyle.

Dermal filler treatment should not be painful. We are able to administer local anaesthetic to ensure you are comfortable throughout. Our fillers are infused with lidocaine to help minimise discomfort during and after treatment.

Yes. All of the hyaluronic acid fillers used at LB Medical are fully reversible. In the event of wanting to remove dermal filler, we are able to do this with an enzyme called hyaluronidase.

It is normal to experience some swelling and bruising after any dermal filler treatment, due to the vast network of blood vessels in the face. We therefore advise to plan any dermal filler treatment at least two weeks ahead of an event or holiday.

We advise to refrain from touching your face or applying makeup for at least 6 hours after treatment. No heavy exercise or alcohol for 48 hours after treatment. Dermal fillers are hydrophilic, meaning they attract water. Keeping hydrated following filler treatment will improve your results over time. We always advise wearing high factor SPF daily, as this will protect your skin and prolong your results.
